Writer, actress, litigator, teacher and certified Christian counselor, Ronda Lizzette Cormier currently serves the Department of Veteran Affairs as a civil rights attorney, in Houston, Texas. In this position, she has been appointed as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the United States Southern District of Texas. 
 
Ronda graduated Cum Laude from Xavier University of Louisiana in 1992, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, Pre-Law and History. She received her Juris Doctorate Degree from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1995. After completing law school, Ronda served as an Assistant District Attorney for Orleans Parish in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1998, she joined the State of Louisiana Department of Justice as an Assistant Attorney General where she served for five years. During her tenure with the Department of Justice, Ronda maintained her own private practice and served as an instructor at Baton Rouge College. 
 
Licensed to the State Bar of Texas in 2002, Ronda relocated to Houston where joined the ranks of Holm, Bambace and McCabe. As a defense litigation attorney she represented companies such as: Federal Express, Lowe’s Home Improvement Store and Coca-Cola.
 
In 2010, Ronda served as a moderator and presenter at the Metamorphosis Women’s Conference. In that same year, she served as an instructor for the Meta2girls Leadership Conference. Also, in previous years, Ronda has volunteered as a Judge Advocate for the Moot Court and Mock Trial Competitions at South Texas School of Law. 
 
Presently, Ronda serves as the Executive Counsel of the Davis Foundation, CNR Ward Designs and Practical Concepts. She is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the RISE Network, an organization designed to restore individuals surviving from traumatic events. 
 
For the last eight years, Ronda has been a faithful member of the Fountain of Praise. As a part of her ministerial calling, Ronda served as the President and Immediate Past President of the Fountain of Praise Speakers, an affiliated club of the International Toastmasters. Currently, she ministers as an instructor of the mixed adults Sunday school class and as a member of the Ministry team. Recently, Ronda completed her first year at Dallas Theological Seminary where she is pursuing a Master of Arts in Media and Communication.
 
In her spare time, Ronda has penned several books. Her debut compilation, 15 Minute Marriage, is self-published through her company R.I.S.E Publications. Dedicated to singles maneuvering through the dynamics of relationships, couples seeking rediscovery in their marriages and survivors of divorce desiring remarriageî ș15 Minute Marriage has been said to be a riveting, intriguing and compelling must read.[1]
 
Among the things Ronda loves the most are her God, her family and her traveling exploits. Last year she was privileged to visit the Holy Land which consisted of a voyage to Greece, Italy, Turkey, Israel and Africa. Anytime she not found writing she is someplace visiting the pretty places in her head.
 
Caring, loving and committed, she is a small woman with a huge voice and a dynamic presence whose ultimate aim and goal is to achieve God’s purpose in her generation.
